Many people contributed, directly or indirectly, to this book.
The main author is Professor Alfredo Goldman. Text review and technical support were handled by Lucas de Sousa Rosa, his doctoral advisee. We are especially grateful to Beatriz Viana Costa, who helped write some of the chapters. We also thank the students of the MAC0115 course (Introduction to Computing for Exact Sciences and Technology), 2024 class, for their contributions to reviewing the content.
